I’ve built companies in the U.S. and Vietnam, launched Forbes Vietnam, and helped Fortune 500s navigate Southeast Asia. But what drives me today is something deeper: building Vietnam’s future — through people, capital, and bold execution.

In 2020, I signed the exclusive agreement with Forbes for Vietnam market, becoming its founding CEO. I built the publication into a respected platform spotlighting Vietnam’s most influential entrepreneurs, investors, and corporate leaders. Under my leadership, Forbes Vietnam became a hub for top-tier content, events, and executive thought leadership.

Extended Narrative:

Born in Vietnam and raised in the U.S., Cuong has lived a dual life that bridges two worlds. His early career was spent in the American tech ecosystem, where he founded and exited multiple software ventures. But it was his return to Vietnam that marked a turning point—where he began applying Western execution discipline to Southeast Asia’s boundless entrepreneurial energy.

In 2020, Cuong brought Forbes to Vietnam under an exclusive licensing agreement, building a powerful media platform that reshaped how business was covered and celebrated. As founding CEO, he championed a new generation of entrepreneurs and helped reframe what business leadership looks like in the country.

Before that, in 2017, he introduced Enterprise Rent-A-Car to Southeast Asia, establishing a blueprint for how foreign mobility brands can thrive in the region. These milestones are more than business success stories; they represent his ongoing commitment to modernizing Vietnam's economic and leadership infrastructure.

Today, through Resu, Safelane, and Vietnam Vanguard, Cuong focuses on enabling others: equipping founders with strategic clarity, helping foreign firms enter Vietnam with confidence, and mentoring the country’s most promising executives.

His style is no-nonsense, execution-first. He believes in vision grounded in realism, in storytelling backed by strategy, and in long-term relationships over transactional deals.
